Through service opportunities on and off campus, students and participants honored Martin Luther King’s visions of peace and social justice on the national holiday commemorating his birthday and his legacy. While Dr. King’s birthday was January 15, the federal holiday takes place the third Monday in January, and in Pennsylvania as well as on Villanova’s campus, MLK Jr. Day has become an opportunity for reflection and service.
