The 45th annual downtown Oklahoma City Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade has been rescheduled to Feb. 1, with events celebrating Dr. King’s legacy continuing throughout the weekend. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Parade, 2 p.m. Parade will begin at NW 6 and Walker and end at Reno and Walker avenues. MLK Jr. Day at Myriad Gardens, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Crystal Bridge lobby at Myriad Gardens, 301 W Reno, free admission to the Crystal Bridge Conservatory, sponsored by Tinker Federal Credit Union. Oklahomans are invited to The OKC MLK Alliance and the City of Oklahoma City have rescheduled the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade due to cold weather conditions. The parade, originally scheduled for Monday, January 20th, will now occur on Saturday, February 1st. The OKC MLK Alliance and the City of Oklahoma City have Oklahoma City has the 3rd largest Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in the United States. The OKC MLK Alliance has been organizing that and related events for over 40 years and has made it into not only one of largest, but the most diverse in the country.
